Effective fall 2013, the KU Core defines the educational goals that are integrated into all of the degrees and majors being pursued by KU undergraduate students.

Achieving the learning outcomes associated with the six educational goals will position KU graduates to:

  • be better thinkers and communicators;
  • have a broader base of knowledge;
  • appreciate human diversity;
  • be more aware of global culture, ethics, and social issues;
  • and integrate skills and knowledge creatively.

As such, KU undergraduates will have a common bond of accomplishment, be more competitive for jobs, and better prepared as successful members of contemporary society.

Please explore the resources available through this web site to learn more about the KU Core, the courses that enable students to achieve the goals of the KU Core, and the many co-curricular options that are available to meet KU Core goals.
