Decertify a Course

Reasons to Decertify or Remove a Course from the original KU Core or KU Core 34: 

  1. The academic unit wishes to remove the course from the KU Core or KU Core 34.
  2. The UCCC does not recertify the course.
  3. The course has not been taught in multiple years.

In order to decertify a course, please complete the form below. Withdrawn courses will be given an academic year before their official removal.

Courses designated by KBOR as Systemwide General Education Transfer courses may not be decertified from the KU Core 34. A list of these courses can be found here.
