Test Scores
AP, IB, CLEP, SAT, & ACT exams could provide you with course credit depending on your exam scores. Please visit the Registrar's website to view how your test scores translate to course credit.
Previous Degree
Students who have earned an Associate in Arts (AA), Associate in Fine Arts (AFA), or an Associate in Science (AS) from a KBOR institution will have completed their KU Core 34 requirements.
Students who have earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree from Metropolitan Community College, Kansas City, Missouri will have completed their KU Core 34 requirements.
Students who hold a bachelors degree from an institution accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies shall be exempted from the KU Core 34 curriculum when enrolling in an undergraduate degree program at KU:
- Accrediting Commissions for Community and Junior Colleges (ACCJC), Western Association of Schools and Colleges
- Higher Learning Commission (HLC)
- Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE)
- New England Commission on Higher Education (NECHE)
- Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCC)
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
- WASC Senior College and University Commission (WSCUC)
