Fulfilling the KU Core 34

Completing courses is the primary method for students to meet the general education requirements of KU Core 34 and the Kansas systemwide general education framework. However, the KU Core 34 curriculum provides the opportunity for students to earn course and KU Core 34 credit by completing experiences within the US and Global Culture goals. These experiences allow students to gain and enhance their communication and critical thinking skills while developing an awareness for cultures, ethics, and social issues.  

Students who enrolled at KU prior to Fall 2024 or after or are completing the requirements of the original KU Core have different options. Please click here for more information.
