Membership of the Inaugural University Core Curriculum Committee

Chancellor Gray-Little and Provost VitterWe owe a sincere thank you to Chris Haufler, chair of ecology and evolutionary biology, for his vision and leadership as the university has undergone a historic curricular transformation in creating and implementing the KU Core. Haufler has been part of the KU Core since its inception in 2009, when the work of the chancellor’s task force on retention and graduation identified our current curriculum as a barrier to timely graduation. He has led several committees and work groups over the past few years to create and refine the KU Core, which takes effect fall 2013. Haufler’s work in this monumental change is invaluable.

Over the past year, Haufler was supported by many faculty, staff, and students who served on committees and work groups that built the KU Core. We thank everyone for the time and effort put into creating the KU Core.
