Student Petitions

Under exceptional circumstances, a student may petition for a substitution to the KU Core. The petition is reviewed by the University Core Curriculum Committee. Lack of knowledge of KU Core requirements, either on part of student and/or through misadvisement, is not an extraordinary circumstance for a petition to be considered.

The petition form must be submitted electronically.  You will be required to describe the exceptional circumstances of the course or experience petitioned.  Please gather the required information and attachments before completing the form.
